As a public administration student,knowledge management is very important mechanism or aspect not only in public office but also in all private entities and organization. Especially we are now in the world of communication or ICT era.The Information Communication Technology (ICT) is considered the driving force
behind the long unprecedented economic growth period of the last decade. It provided the
infrastructure for economic development, helped create the knowledge society,
contributed to innovation and created value for the economy. More importantly, it
brought the world closer together by improving the dissemination of knowledge,
accelerating research, stimulating innovation and facilitating collaboration.
As we have all witnessed, the advent of the internet, broadband communication, open
source collaboration, and the rapidly improving computing capacity has changed the
world economy drastically. The knowledge economy and the globally integrated
enterprise have become a reality. The competitive playing field between industrialized
and emerging markets is leveling. The economies of industrialized countries are moving
into services. Business models and processes are globalized. ICT is changing quickly,
shortening its life cycle and speeding up its obsoletes.

The meaning as stated in the article states that Knowledge Management is the collection of processes that govern the creation, dessimination and utilization of knowledge. This means that we do have so many ideas in our mind, we dessiminate this thru the use of technology and this knowledge will be useful not only to others but in each unit of society. Will it be for personal use or in an organization. The kowledge management will anable us to present our own idea being considered as a tool to anybody or any organization for that matter.
In my own understanding, as a ABPublicAd student agrees that this ideas of knowledge management is a very timely and interesting topic. As we all know world is astly fadvancing in terms of technology. Communication as well as dessimination of information taking very fast phase in terms of technology advancement.

I agree that knowledge management is very useful as an instrument in our society today specially now a days we are suffering difficulties…difficulties that are really affects the lives of the Filipino people.And that’s why people are still find…find…and discovering a new solution and methods to make our lives easier and happier too….And one of the best solutions as today is Knowledge Management because it comprises of a range of strategies and practices used in an org.to identify, create, represent, distribute, and enable adoption of insights and experiences.

Knowledge Management is a discipline that improves the ability of organizations to solve problems better, adapt, evolve to meet changing business requirements, and survive disruptive changes such as staff turnover.

As a student in Pangasinan State University, what can I expect to see that is different as a result of this Knowledge Management approach? What will be the obligations on me? What benefits will I get? How will my study be supported (or challenged)?

Knowledge Management recognizes that organizations are a complex system made up of both the people that work for the organization, and the processes, procedures and information systems that drive our actions.

I believed that knowledge management is more than a “technology thing’ I prefer to discover and the utilization of knowledge than depending of what technology can give. Knowledge management helps me to be more competitive and confident in doing such thing.

In my own point of view,knowledge management evolves as a major resource now in every organization.It plays an indispensable role to ensure organization’s success.The more an organization is cognizant on the latest information,the more it can gain that competitive advantage and the possibility to be recognized worldwide.Information gathered and utilized in an organization helps a lot to make every tasks easier by providing adequate procedures to follow,and more importantly,it can served as great aid to draft solutions for multifarious problems that may arise in an organization.The dawn of knowledge management has also challenged many organizations to increase their potential to be effective.It does not necessarily mean that when an organization have the adequate information they are already ahead of others,but it also entails on how an organization can effectively utilized this information and incorporate it in every decisions and processes towards the attainment of their objectives.The use of highly integrated information should always be attuned to the needs of the organization to sustained improvement and to be able for the organization to survive on the different challenges brought about by this rapidly evolving environment.
